The Placement Process For Veneers
Veneers usually take two appointments to complete, and the process is minimally invasive. During your first appointment, one of our doctors will clean your teeth and prepare them for veneers by removing a very thin layer of enamel, which is equal in thickness to the veneer that will be applied.
Then, impressions of your teeth and images of your mouth will be taken. These are sent to a third-party lab, where your veneers will be manufactured. This process takes 2-3 weeks. Our team will give you a set of temporary veneers to wear in the meantime.
When your custom veneers arrive at our office, you’ll come in for your final appointment. We’ll check the fit and finish of your veneers to make sure that they look completely natural in your mouth, and then bond them permanently into place using dental cement. You’ll leave our office with an updated, fresh smile!
Lumineers & Traditional Veneers
What’s the Difference?
Lumineers are a type of veneer that are extremely thin and durable, and require no removal of your natural tooth enamel. Lumineers are only about as thick as a contact lens.
